Electricity description

Electricity: Basically, Electricity is an energy form which is resulting from movements of negative charged particles called electrons.

Electricity is replacement of Coal energy, which is more efficient, less pollution

Type of electricity:

Electricity are basically two types:

1.Current Electricity

  1. Static Electricity

Current electricity: Current electricity is a continuous flow of electrons particles which flows through conductive materials. Example: Home use electricity.

Static Electricity: Static electricity is an imbalance and temporary flow of electrons particles caused by friction of surfaces. Example: Rub a plastic continuous on head then see the plastic start attract the hair.

Types of current electricity:

Current electricity are two types:

1.Direct current (DC)

2.Alternative current (AC)

Direct current (DC): Direct current is a straight flow of electron particles, that means continuously flow in one single direction through a conductor.

It is kind of one-way street root.

HISTORY OF DIRECT CURRENT (DC):

Direct current is discovered early in human race of modern technology. There are different times and different scientists developed work to the path of direct current easy and smooth. Some of are:

Alessandro Giuseppe Antonio Anastasio Volta (1800): was an Italian chemist and physicist who invented the Voltaic Pile which is the first chemical battery produced the very first, continuous and human made flow of direct current.

Hippolyte Pixii (1832):  was an instrument maker from Paris, France he built an early form of alternating current electrical generator, based on the principle of electromagnetic induction discovered by Michael Faraday. An early electric generator at the suggestion of physicist André-Marie Ampère, he added a device called a commutator, which mechanically converted alternating current into direct current

Thomas Edison (1880s): Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman who is known for his work on the incandescent light bulb, the phonograph. He developed the practical work structure for Direct Current (DC) and also developed the practical work structure for DC. He built the Pearl Street Station in New York City in 1882, the world's first commercial central power plant, which ran entirely on a DC grid. He is called Father Of DC.

Alternative Current: Alternative Current is flow of electron particles that periodically reverses its direction back and forth and changes its magnitude over time.

It is kind type of a shuttle bus with two-way street root, goes and comes through same or second street root.

HISTORY OF ALTERNATIVE CURRENT (AC)

Direct Current can be transmitted to a fix range area it could not be transmit to long-distance area. To solve this problem there some kind of electricity need which will be transmitted to long-distance area. Then the process of inventing Alternative Current started.

Michael Faraday (1831): Michael Faraday was an English chemist and physicist who contributed vastly to the study of electrochemistry and electromagnetism. He discovered electromagnetic induction, demonstrating that moving a magnet through a coil (basically copper coil) of wire naturally creates an alternating electrical current.

Lucien Gaulard and John Dixon Gibbs (1881): Lucien Gaulard was a French engineer who invented devices for the transmission of alternating current electrical energy. He developed an early power transformer, which proves that Alternative Current voltage could be adjusted up and down.

Nikola Tesla (1887–1888): Nikola Tesla was a Serbian and American engineer, futurist, and inventor. He Invented the Alternative Current Induction Motor and the polyphase system. This allowed the generators, transmission lines, and the motors to work together flawlessly and making it possible to transmit massive amounts of power efficiently over hundreds of miles.

Voltage (V): Voltage is basically electrical pressure or electrical push that force the electron charge particles to move.

 Current (I): Current is basically a rate which the electrical charge flows through a point of conductive material.

//Current and Current electricity are different.

 Resistance (R): Resistance is basically a friction or an obstruction which slow down or stop the flow of charge electrons.

The physicists discovered the relation between Current, Voltage and Resistance    

V proportional IR     means Voltage proportional to Current and Resistance multiply.

How AC Electricity Reaches home: In power plant there are huge and many turbines. Coal and others atomic power used for boil the water and make steam. Then the steam spins the turbines and produce high power electricity. There are step up transformer to increase the voltage for long transition the high voltage electricity come through aluminum Transmission lines and reaches our nearest transformer which is step down transformer. The transformer decreases the voltage. Then the other transmission line come near the home. From that transmission line we connect our meter line and use the electricity.

Power: power is basically combination of current and voltage. P = I X V. If we want to constant the power, one of them have to decrease and one of them have to increase. In Power plant they decrease the current and increase the voltage. If the current becomes high there will be trouble for long transmission because of heat loss. Suppose power is 2 current is 2 and voltage is 1. If we decrease the current suppose make it 1 and increase the voltage in 2, the power will be the same. That’s how its work.
